About Professor Brown
Erin M. Brown, MA, MFA (aka author Erin Brown Conroy/EB Conroy) is the creator of the Aquinas Writing Advantage program and the Marketing and Curriculum Manager (Brand, Content, and User Experience) for Homeschool Connections. She is the author of nine books (children’s, fiction, and nonfiction, including Simplified Writing 101: Top Secrets for College Writing Success); has been a professional author, writer, and editor for over 20 years; and served as a university professor of writing, research, leadership and management, and organizational development for almost 20 years. She has been teaching for 45 years and has been training teachers for best practices in on-the-ground and online teaching for over 30 years.
Erin’s education and curriculum experience includes designing the curriculum for and teaching at three college and university programs (writing and research, business writing, interpersonal communication, management and leadership, and critical thinking). In 2018, she led the Communications Content Development in General Education (writing, communications, and critical thinking) for Western Governors University.
Professor Brown writes books (nonfiction and fiction) and is a member of the Authors Guild (AG), the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA), and the Romance Writers of America (RWA). She also is a story consultant for books and television; presents fiction writing webinars online; and has been a writing contest judge for multiple regional and national contests.
For younger readers, Professor Brown developed True North Reading: The Complete Mastery Reading and Spelling Program™, a multi-sensory, hands-on, video-based, online how-to-read program for children used across the world. Professor Brown has been quoted in hundreds of print publications such as Parents and Parenting magazines; the Chicago Tribune and Dallas Morning News; and websites such as geoparent.com, iparenting.com, and familyresource.com.
Professor Brown has a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing/Genre Fiction (terminal degree in writing) from Western Colorado University, a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Rehabilitation, and a Bachelor of Music (BM) degree in Education from Western Michigan University. Professor Brown was a homeschooling parent for 34 years and homeschooled 10 children. She lives in Michigan and enjoys writing Science Fiction and Fantasy books in coffee shops, speaking online and at conferences, and walking her dogs.

About Ms. Conley
Ms. Conley was born and raised in Michigan, USA, and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English and World Literature from Western Michigan University and a double Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Screenwriting and Genre Fiction from Western Colorado University. She has over ten years’ experience working as a professional writer — including as a technical editor and content creator for businesses on the ground and on the web; as a publications editor for books, curriculum, websites, and more; and as a transcriptionist for film and television, including work for the Food Network, HBO, FX, and A&E.
Ms. Conley has also served as a writing contest judge, and her professional book editing includes ghostwriting for romance, mystery, and fantasy novels. As a writing coach, consultant, and editor for published novelists, short story writers, and award-winning screenwriters, her students and clients have gone on to win awards and become accomplished in their niches.
After spending a few years in Hollywood working as a writing consultant and editor, she’s now traveling the world teaching, editing, and coaching writers while continuing to develop her own projects for publishing.

About Mrs. Donlon
Mrs. Bonnie Donlon earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Literature from the University of Virginia. She taught writing at the Charlottesville Writing Center summer camps, then taught multiple subjects at The Covenant School in Charlottesville, Virginia, with Pre-K through 4th-grade students, including reading and writing in the classroom and in the after school programs. Mrs. Donlon also co-taught with her husband for the elementary level religious education program at St. Thomas Aquinas parish.
When Mrs. Donlon’s son was born in 2018, the Charlottesville, Virginia native realized the special joy found in being a mother — and she is thrilled to be able to continue to fulfill her purpose as a mother while still sharing her love of teaching and writing with middle school students online in the Aquinas Writing Advantage program.
When not teaching, giving feedback, and grading student work, Mrs. Donlon enjoys reading, exploring the natural world with her son, and spending time with her extended family, including her sister-in-law, Mrs. Eleanor Nicholson, who is the High School Victorian Literature Instructor for Homeschool Connections.

About Mrs. Graziose
Mrs. Donna Graziose has a diverse and strong background in Fine Arts and Professional Photography. While working at an academic art library, she developed a passion for archives and digital libraries and went on to earn a Masters Degree in Library Science. Mrs. Graziose has taught courses in writing, library research, art history, and digital art, as well as mentoring and teaching local homeschoolers for the past 20 years.

About Ms. Hamric-Weis, JD
Sharon Hamric-Weis earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Secondary English Education from the California University of Pennsylvania and taught both middle and high school courses at the Palm Beach County School system. During her last year of teaching, Mrs. Hamric-Weis converted to the Catholic Church and was confirmed. Upon her acceptance to the Dickinson School of Law, she and her husband then relocated to her home state of Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Hamric-Weis practiced law as Assistant Counsel for the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole and has been published in the Dickinson Journal of International Law, as well as working as a decision writer for the Pennsylvania Board of Workers’ Compensation. After working in law, Mrs. Hamric-Weis left her employment to raise her children and homeschool for several years before returning to work as a paraprofessional, teaching and caring for a student with multiple disabilities. She has taught English as a Second Language in a prison setting and is also presently working in the field of mental health. She is happy to be homeschooling her youngest child and teaching writing courses for Homeschool Connections.

About Mr. O’Brien
Mr. Kevin O’Brien is a writer and regular contributor to The St. Austin Review and Gilbert Magazine, with his autobiography soon to be published by ACS Books.
Although an atheist at an early age, Kevin O’Brien’s experiences with the dramatic arts began a conversion process that, with the help of the writings of G. K. Chesterton, eventually brought him into the Catholic Church.
Mr. O’Brien hosts the television series The Theater of the Word on EWTN and can also be seen on episodes of EWTN’s The Apostle of Common Sense, The Quest for Shakespeare, and The Journey Home. He also portrays J. R. R. Tolkien in several Tolkien specials hosted by Joseph Pearce.
Most recently, Mr. O’Brien has appeared in two movies: Manalive, based on the novel by G. K. Chesterton, and To Follow the Light: the Conversion of John Henry Newman.
In addition, Mr. O’Brien has performed and produced 35 audio books and is the only person in history to play every part in a Shakespeare play (twice!), which he did for his audio readings of The Merchant of Venice and Macbeth for Ignatius Press. Also, Mr. O’Brien and author Joseph Pearce are the co-founders of the website The Christian Shakespeare, which publishes essays demonstrating the Catholic worldview of the world’s greatest dramatist.

About Mrs. Rea
Geralyn Rea studied English at Hillsdale College and enjoyed her BA in English so much that she decided to complete a Master of English degree with the University of Dallas, as well. She has been tutoring, teaching online and in person, and working with the homeschool community across the United States ever since. Mrs. Rea loves literature and fostering local book clubs and readily says that she can be found chatting about literature with anyone who will join the conversation.

About Mrs. Ryan
Mrs. Maureen Ryan, BA, is a professional writer with more than twenty-five years of experience writing articles and creating content for a wide variety of news outlets, magazines, websites, and book publishers. She has taught writing across grade levels in classrooms and online for more than eight years.
Mrs. Ryan has a Bachelor of Arts in English and studied interactive learning at Teachers College, Columbia University. About Ms. Thomas
Sally Thomas is a poet, essayist, and fiction writer who holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in English and Secondary Education from Vanderbilt University. She has completed extensive graduate work in literature and creative writing, and her teaching background includes experience in both the high school and the college classroom, where she has taught literature, composition, and creative writing.
Over the last two decades, Mrs. Thomas’s writing has appeared widely in publications large and small, including The New Yorker, First Things, Lay Witness, Verily, the Catholic literary journal Dappled Things, and the homeschooling magazine Mater et Magistra. She is the Pushcart-Prize-nominated author of two poetry chapbooks, Fallen Water and Richeldis of Walsingham, both from Finishing Line Press. Her most recent poetry collection, Motherland, was a finalist for the 2018 Able Muse Book Award, and is available now from Able Muse Press. She is also an award-winning writer of short fiction. Mrs. Thomas also won first place in the 2020 J.F. Powers Prize for short fiction for her work, “A Fire in the Hills,” and her work is in the Circe Institute’s Summer 2020 anthology, 30 Poems to Memorize Before It’s Too Late.
A convert to Catholicism from the Anglican tradition, Mrs. Thomas has served her small rural parish as First Communion catechist and chorister. She is a homeschooling mother of four and living and writing in North Carolina.

About Professor Wilson
Nick Wilson earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy from the South Carolina Honors College and then graduated from Yale University with a Master of Arts in Religion (MAR). Currently a PhD student in Philosophy at the University of South Carolina, he teaches ethics courses in the philosophy department, grades and gives feedback on university students’ writing, and pursues research in medieval philosophy (especially St. Thomas), philosophy of religion, and ethics.
Professor Wilson served as a teacher of theology and social studies at a Catholic high school, served as the high school campus minister, and served on his docesan curriculum committee for theology. Professor Wilson also enjoys a position of leadership in a small nonprofit aimed at the preservation of the liberal arts and public oratory.
